Youth Camp Challenges
Unleashing Potential and Creating Lasting Memories
Our annual youth camps are an amazing experience for the young people in the communities on the river. It is always a supportive environment where teenagers can grow and develop physically and spiritually.
This years location was in the Guarabi community, close to the municipality of Nhamunda (AM). Teenagers, young people and adults from Nhamunda and other river communities from the lower Amazonas and also four young indigenous Sateré-Mawé participated as well.
These camps offer a wide range of activities that ignite passions, forge friendships, and build essential life skills as they meet new people from surrounding communities.
Every year there are radical tests which puts campers face to face with challenges such as, tunnel with mud, wooden wall obstacles, rope web, among others, which require balance, speed and above all, teamwork.
The passion for the games is also felt when they get the most important challenges that they need. Spiritual challenges that will bring many young people to Christ and help many more to grow closer to him.
We are very thankful for the commitment and dedication of each member of the coordination team, led by our missionary Marcelo Paixão, and we thank God for the support of First Baptist Church of Parintins, First Baptist Church of Nhamunda.
