My first trip to the Amazon in 2012 completely changed my life. Being able to be a part of what God was doing in remote villages was the biggest blessing. We encountered so many people that were looking for hope and had never heard the gospel.
The father in this pictured shared that he’d had a dream that people were going to come on a boat to tell him how he could have forgiveness. Another member of the family said he’d planned on ending his life because he was hopeless and thought he had no purpose.
This entire family accepted Christ and were so hungry for God’s Word. Seeing what God is doing in the Amazon is such a reminder that “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Luke 10:2).
