NOT JUST A MISSION TRIP

Like the Amazon River that connects isolated communities, we carry the current of hope to every place we serve to share the gospel, make disciples, train leaders, and plant churches. We are not content until all of these have taken root in the communities we serve.

We know that biblical discipleship only happens in the context of a local church, yet most communities in the Amazon region do not have one. That's why we are committed to planting churches that become sources from which the current of hope continues to flow, transforming lives and reaching the next generation.

Making Disciples

Your team plants and waters, and you may be blessed to witness a harvest—but that's just the beginning. The seeds of faith sown during your visit need ongoing care and cultivation long after you return home. That's where our pastors and staff come in.

They are the boots on the ground who return again and again, staying deeply connected to the people you worked alongside. They continue the process your trip initiated, building on the foundation you helped lay.

This ongoing partnership between short-term teams and long-term workers is essential. Your visit sparks hope and plants gospel seeds, while our indigenous pastors and staff provide the steady, patient care needed to see those seeds grow into mature faith and thriving communities of believers.

How We See Impact:

  • Spiritual Growth: New believers baptized and churches planted across remote villages.

  • Leadership Development: Six regional training centers equipping indigenous pastors and teachers.

  • Community Renewal: Clean-water systems, medical outreaches, and education initiatives meeting real needs.

Developing Leaders

We have six leadership training centers positioned like tributaries along the Amazon, each one extending the current of hope to surrounding villages and six Indian tribes.

With indigenous church leaders and staff from Brazil, Peru, and Colombia, we channel hope through local leaders who are already woven into the fabric of their communities. They speak the language, understand the culture, and are trusted by their people—making them the most effective conduits through which the current of hope can flow naturally and powerfully.

Our three-year program creates leaders who become perpetual sources of hope in their communities. Like the mighty Amazon that draws from countless streams, our training encompasses theology (grounding them in biblical truth), community development (addressing practical needs), and vocational skills (providing economic sustainability). This holistic approach ensures the current of hope flows into every area of life—spiritual, social, and economic.

Throughout the program, leaders are discipled, equipped, and encouraged. We provide them with Bibles, teaching materials, and resources that become tools for multiplying hope in their communities.

Transforming Communities

Upon graduation these new leaders return home as sources from which the current of hope will continue to flow. Each of them will help to ensure that hope doesn't stop.

They will seek to multiply themselves so that they create a powerful ripple effect: transformed individual lives lead to healthy churches, and healthy churches transform entire communities.

As the community of believers grows, we partner with them to build a church building—a physical gathering place that becomes the heart of the community and a visible testimony to God's work among them.

But the current of hope flows beyond spiritual transformation alone. We also address physical needs that can hinder a community's flourishing.

Through clean water solutions, community development initiatives, and medical and dental assistance, we bring healing to bodies as well as souls.

When communities experience hope that touches every dimension of life—spiritual, physical, and social—the transformation becomes complete and lasting.

The Multiplication Effect

When you invest in one leader, you're investing in:

  • The churches they'll plant

  • The disciples they'll make

  • The leaders they'll train

  • The villages they'll reach

  • The tribes who'll hear the gospel for the first time

  • One leader trained today can become 10 churches planted tomorrow.

When local leaders are equipped to shepherd their own communities, transformation doesn't end when we leave, it multiplies for generations.
