Construction of a church in the Amazon region is not an easy task. In many regions, construction supplies need to be purchased in cities and taken by boat to the community, taking hours or even days of travel.

With Betel Baptist Church on the Jacú River, the story was no different. Pr. Salus together with the local congregation, faced great challenges to build the church where they meet today.

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.

The church joined together as the body of Christ to make this church building possible. Any church can accomplish great things when it has a oneness despite our diversity, knowing that our diversity makes us stronger, we can each take responsibility to use our talents for the good of the whole body.
