I look forward to every opportunity to go the Amazon for many reasons, but primarily because God always shows me something that I wasn't expecting or planning beforehand. This is both humbling and amazing to see - not only the many ways that God works, but also the way that he transforms (in many cases miraculously & dramatically) hearts of people.

One thing I'm continually humbled by is that God will continue to move and work long after I have returned home. While humbling, this also gives me great motivation, desire, and energy to help the indigenous people understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that draws them to Jesus and to accepting Him as their personal savior.

Since the Great Commission stresses discipleship and not just conversion, it is key to be able to help equip them in a simple and reproducible way that creates confidence and excitement to share their faith with others (disciples making multiplying disciples).

This picture is one of those moments - a follower of Jesus sharing his faith with others and taking great joy in that opportunity from the total satisfaction in the grace that God has shown him.
