A Move Of God

Dear brothers and sisters,

I come to you today with a heart full of gratitude, awe, and joy. What we experienced in the Amazon this past July was truly a move of God. For one incredible week, our team served riverside and indigenous communities in (names omitted), Brazil, and (names omitted), Colombia. The Lord was with us every step of the way.

Each morning, we boarded a jet boat at the Port of (names omitted), venturing into the jungle’s heart. These weren’t just trips—they were divine appointments. God had prepared hearts, opened doors, and guided us.

Our team divided into ministries: Vacation Bible School for kids, gatherings for men and women, and a medical outreach offering healing and hope. We were blessed to work with Dr. (names omitted), a devoted Christian doctor familiar with the region, and nurse (names omitted), who assisted with triage and care. On day three, a surprise donation of medications and multivitamins arrived—just when we needed them most—a clear sign of God’s provision.

We visited five communities: (names omitted). They welcomed us warmly, despite challenges like thick mud, steep trails, and remote villages. Yet, nothing stopped the Gospel. We saw it in children’s smiles, mothers’ tears of gratitude, and the quiet prayers of men hearing Jesus’ name with love for the first time.

The final day was sacred. After an hour-long hike, we reached the (names omitted) people, steeped in animism. Out of respect for the local missionary’s work, we entered as tourists, praying silently, listening, and learning. We left with hearts moved by the spiritual darkness but we still were hopeful for the light of Christ to shine there some day.

At week’s end, we shared stories of transformation, prayer, laughter, and love. God’s fingerprints were in every encounter. The mission in the (names omitted) succeeded—not by our strength, but for His glory.

Thank you, church, for sending us, praying, and believing in missions. The harvest is plentiful, and you, the laborers, are making a difference. To God be all the glory!

Signed (names omitted)
