Meet A Missionary: Félix Paixão Gonçalves
My name is Félix Paixão Gonçalves. I'm the husband of Andrews. I have a daughter, Anne.
I am part of the Al-Shadai community since I was a child, since my 8 years of age, when I converted. I converted here in the work of the First Baptist Church of Parintins. And since then, my family, father, my brothers, came to Jesus.
And the work of the Church, the Church of Baptista, the Mission Batista has been very important to us because it has helped us to reach other lives, other people, other families.
And the work of the Amazon Vida seminary has also helped us a lot because they have given us tools, they have given training to us. We have learned a lot, I have learned a lot. And what I've been learning at seminary I am trying to bring here to the community, to the people.
All the tools they are giving us, we are putting into practice, especially in the area of teaching the word, with our doctrine, with our care with the word of God. My job as the leader of El Shaddai, helping, the best word, helping my father, Rosildo, he has been very good.
God has taught me a lot to be at the front of work. It's not easy being at the front of a job in a community that is undergoing reconstruction again. And God has sustained me in this work. Provision and all providence comes from God.
Formal work, I don't have it. My real work is from the heart here, and I do it with a lot of desire, with a lot of love. And I praise God for this opportunity that you are giving me to work in His kingdom, to work in His kingdom.
