There is no greater joy than to preach the gospel into the lost and forgotten corners of our world and seeing the Lord use our work to create something out of nothing. Where there was no believers, there is now a church and now that church has a building to call home.
The Elohim church, nestled in the tranquil district of Freguesia do Andirá near Barreirinha in the heart of the Amazon, has been a beacon of faith meeting under a canopy of trees for about four years.
But now the church is steadily making strides towards having a permanent home. This humble congregation, comprising 19 devoted families, is grateful for the unwavering support they receive from the First Baptist Church of Parintins and Amazon Vida. Under the guidance of Pastor Abimael Sicsú, the church is gradually taking root, fostering a space where worshippers can unite to glorify God.
Recently the church joyfully celebrated the baptism of three new converts, a testament to the dedication of the church to tirelessly engage in evangelism and home visits within the community.
